No such thing as a dead cert!

Well Betfair apparently don't love me after all and they took the free £5 back. Gosh, aren't they lovely!

Currently working on another prediction bot. Is coming along rather nicely but a bit of a slooooooooooow one!

A Dead Cert?

On checking today I found a £5 deposit into my betfair account. That's nice. Unfortunately betfair's system doesn't tell me why there's a £5 credit there. Is it general? For doing something? Or is it my birthday (it actually is my birthday. Yay). So who knows - maybe there is a dead cert once a year! :) The drinks are on betfair...oh....too late...spent it all!

Big Brother

Hmmm...Mario v. Rebecca. Not really any use for us either way.

Interestingly in the 4th evictee market you can (lay) bet against the following being the 4th evictee:

Belinda....£3 @ 990
Darnell....£2 @ 880
Sara.......£2 @ 770

They're not even nominated! Well...I suppose nothing ever is *certain*!

Housewife Bet 5

This is a long running bet but seems worthwhile!

Go to www.betfair.com . Navigate to sports. Scroll down to Special bets in the left hand box. Choose UK and find Big Brother 9. We want to bet on "Male or Female".

Back MALE at 1.77 for £2. Do this by clicking the blue box to the right of Male (after checking it says 1.77!). Change the stake on the right to £2. Click place bets and confirm.

Why?

I Hate Reality TV!

But I'll still bet on it if the odds favour me! There are just too many reality TV shows and talent show type competitions on. I mean - Last Choir Standing?! Grrrr...they annoy me no end. Still...I'm happy to bet on Big Brother 9 if the value's there!

Note: these aren't housewife bets. They would be but the timescale is too long. There are no housewife bets today :(

All money doesn't feel equal!

It has been a decent weekend. Yesterday I traded the women's tennis finals and built up a decent risk free profit on Serena. I haven't recommended any housewife bets for the weekend because I couldn't find anything statistically worthwhile. However, I'm trading with a test bank to learn some things and understand the markets better. Grrrr Venus who took the lead. Strange how the markets react when a game shifts around as just a couple of trades on Venus built me up more profit than I had built on Serena with lots of hard work!

A Good Day

Figured I should make a non house-wife bet post! Good day today:

Cork v Galway United : +£77.11

Many thanks to whichever bookie(s) was laying off liability on that one. Please come again tomorrow :)

Also traded the Federer match. Most of the small profit from the second set. Had a quick look at the odds for tomorrows Williams game but nothing apparent. Maybe there'll be something tomorrow when the mugs start wading in, but I suspect not.

Housewife Bet 4 : Update

Well both Nadal and Federer finished in straight sets but PAH, who cares?! The Nadal price did drift (get bigger) temporarily as we predicted. The bet at 1.04 therefore got matched and as Nadal went on to win we get 64p profit! Don't spend it all at once :) Had Nadal, after the 1.04 was matched, failed to win we would have lost nothing by the way.

So we now have: £15.64 in Betfair, £15 of which we put in originally. £20.57 in Betdaq, £15 of which we put in originally. Our total profit is £6.39.

Housewife Bet 4

The www.wbx.com tennis offer doesn't look very good today.

"Win/lose £10 or more on any tennis match which is completed on Friday 5th July and if Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal both win 3-0 in their Wimbledon semi final matches WBX will credit your account with a free £5 back bet*."

There's a bit of value in backing Federer and Nadal to win 3-0. But neither of these seem particularly good bets.

So today's housewife bet is a bit of a trade. Use www.betfair.com (sign up with referal code: JQLUPMVPL ). Deposit £15 so we have some balance here to.

Housewife Bet 3 : Update

Another win adds £1.57 to the pot. So currently we stand at: £20.57. £15 of which we funded into the account originally and £5.75 is profit.
